- GIC1 – Management of Health and HSE: Foundations of HSE, policy, risk management, incident investigation, audit, and review.
- GIC2 – Risk Assessment: Practical workplace-based risk assessment project – you submit a real report from your own workplace.
- Closing Interview: A closing interview is a brief discussion held after a NEBOSH Scenario-Based Assessment (also called an Open Book Exam, or OBE). It usually lasts about 15 minutes and is conducted via video call by a NEBOSH-certified trainer or another qualified individual. Before the interview, the trainer reviews your exam submission and then asks a set of questions based on NEBOSH’s guidelines.

- No formal academic prerequisites – but a good standard of English is essential.
- Able to read, write, and understand technical HSE terminology.

- Minimum age: 18 (but recommended 20+ for workplace understanding).
- GIC1 Open Book Exam: 24-hour scenario-based paper.
- GIC2 Risk Assessment Project: A practical report from your workplace.
- Close Interview: A NEBOSH closing interview is a short (about 15-minute) video call after the Scenario-Based Assessment/OBE where a qualified interviewer asks questions about your submitted work to verify your understanding and authenticity.
